Panel 1: Gil approaches a librarian and says “I would like this book please.”, the man replies “Sure.”

Panel 2: Violet and Scratch scream as they fly by on a book cart. The librarian asks “Are those your pets?”, and Gil replies “Which ones?”

Panel 3: The librarian points out the two animals now flying towards them on a book cart. “The ones coming this way” and Gil can only respond with “Yep.”

Panel 4: SMASH

The End

..You know there’s a lot more random violence in these comics than I remember. At least most of it is meant to be comical accidents (except for that one time with the spike covered dodgeball but that’s another story for another day). I never did decide on why they ended up on that cart in the first place, but I guess anything can happen in a comic strip.

Panel 1: Violet and Scratch hold up comically large pumpkin “We got a pumpkin!”

Panel 2: Violet slips on a banana peel, “Whoa!”

Panel 3: SPLAT

Panel 4: Gil* is covered in Pumpkin guts. “Let’s go”, she says, “Why?” asks one of the offscreen pets, exasperated she replies “Just get in the car”

Panel 5: A bit sarcastically, Violet asks “So, the corn maze is for next year?”

Panel 6: Gil shouts “JUST GET IN THE CAR!”

Remember how I said I’ve been drawing these characters for a while? I told you I wasn’t lying. I’ve got a small bunch of their first official comic run in a folder thanks to my Female Life Giver. I’m more than happy to share them. Little baby Natsuki would be so happy to know there’s actually fans of my characters now -v-

*This name change was recent. She used to have the same name as another character and it got too confusing lol

My character Scratch is based on a stuffed cat I've had since I was little, and she's clearly suffered a lot of wear and tear over the years from our various adventures and pet-related accidents. I think it adds to her charm in a way, and when you look at her you can tell that she's very well loved. I took her EVERYWHERE when I was little. Road trips, grandma's house, school, birthday parties, you name it. She was there for it all.

While my Scratch is certainly a very charming old lady, I always feel a little bad because every other Scratch looks like this:

It's honestly a miracle she's hung on long enough to see me into adulthood given how many times she's ended up under, over, around or buried in various things, but I guess that's just how life is when you're a stuffed animal. I just hope she's not too mad at me about it XD

Dear diary,

Yesterday I had a panic attack so intense that I passed out for at least 15 seconds in front of my mom and siblings. I don't fully remember that part happening but at least someone caught me before I hit anything important.

So I guess now I know what it's like to faint! It's kind of interesting that it's never happened to me before but also I hope it never happens again because it was fucking terrifying lmfao. It's not all bad though, I've already been making jokes about it with the younger of my two siblings because I basically recreated this vine on accident.

Anyways, got some new art inspiration, and now that I've experienced temporary total blindness, I'm going to really appreciate my eyes going forward. Those little guys really do a lot of hard work for me, and they deserve some serious props for it.

I'm still sad, but I'm getting a bit better. My antidepressants have actually started working again (thank god). I think it might have been something I was eating? Not sure. If Chinese Food makes my depression worse I'm going to be super bummed.

Anyways, onto the subject of the title, I now own Synth V Studio, and Miss Gumi Megpoid* herself. It was kind of a hassle bc I had to call my bank and tell them that the random purchase from Japan on my card wasn't fraudulent, but at least it processed properly enough for me to get my grubby little hands on her.

There's an American site to buy the bundle I got, but it was cheaper on the jp site for some reason so I just went with that lol. I've gotta conserve what little money I have (I say, having just blown 100 bucks on a midi instrument with an anime girl on it). Here's hoping I'll get at least a little bit of a return investment, or at the very least, not have to worry about my mediocre singing voice gunking up any of my songs going forward. Yippee.

*Technically, her name is just GUMI, and the software is Megpoid, but I think calling her that just sounds really funny so I'm sticking with it.

But that's how life goes sometimes. Sorry for just kinda peacing out halfway through the month. I've got art I'm working on but I'm also too sad to finish it.

Last night I had a dream that Pico kissed me and I'm not really sure what my subconscious is trying to tell me with that, but I imagine it's something like "touch grass you pink-haired loser" lol.

Yes, they are in fact, real. Still chilling, though Scratch could obviously be doing a little bit better lol.

While drawing my entry for the Valentines Collab it occured to me that I've somehow been drawing Violet and Scratch (the purple dog and orange cat respectively) for the better half of 16 years. Their existence predates my ability to write, because I learned that in pre-school.

Holy shit.

Anyways, while I try to ignore that existential pit in my stomach, Happy Valentines Day to all those who celebrate, and for everyone else, have a good day anyways ^w^

(Don't forget, all the stores have to majorly slash the prices on candy and knick-nacks right after so they can push out the Easter stock as fast as possible, so if you wanted to get an entire family sized bag of message hearts or something you should probably do it then lololololol)

I keep forgetting that tomorrow is my birthday, and every time I'm reminded I have a mini-fit about it lmao.

Honestly I don't have plans, but as long as I don't get dumped or beat up again, I'll be good.
